Michael Davey Founder (1940-2021)
Michael founded the Company in 1980 and dedicated 40 years to developing and managing a firm to match his own very high standards. Michael’s combination of professionalism, honesty, understanding and humility set the benchmark to which the firm continues to aspire.
Our Management Team
John Davey Managing Director
John joined the firm in 1998, having previously worked in the investment and marketing department at Guinness Flight (now Investec). As well as being responsible for the management and development of the firm, John advises clients on all aspects of their financial planning and remains responsible for MDFM’s Investment Management proposition – bringing together over 30 years of experience in the industry to help guide asset allocation and fund selection decisions.
John is a season ticket holder at Portman Road and associated member of the MCC. When not tending his lawns at home, he can be found wandering the seafront in Aldeburgh.
Rick Greiller Chartered Financial Planner
Rick is an experienced Financial Planner who joined the firm in the summer of 2021, having spent the previous 10 years with a leading competitor. Rick enjoys working with clients to identify and understand their objectives, before building a strategy to achieve these goals. Rick is a keen sports fan, following Tottenham Hotspur football club and English cricket, though this has had to take a backseat since the arrival of his two children.
Jane Goodbody Director & Company Secretary
Jane is our Company Secretary and Head of Human Resources. She brings to the firm a wealth of experience from outside of the industry and has recently worked on projects for ViacomCBS and Ninety One. Jane has a lifelong passion for horses and is a weekend volunteer for Riding for the Disabled.
Our Client Support Team
Shelley Duffy
Shelley joined the firm in 2012 as an experienced administrator and has developed her role to provide direct support to our clients, both in the UK and internationally. Shelley is a keen football supporter and fitness fan.
Lisa Napper
Lisa joined the firm in March 2013 and was Michael’s PA for over eight years. Lisa now provides PA support to John and administrative support for a number of overseas pension clients. Outside of the office Lisa enjoys yoga and country walks with her two small hounds.
Andrew Quintian
Andrew combines his role in sales support with being the chair of the investment management committee. Andrew has been with the firm since 2014 and loves to travel, when he is able to.
Wynand Van Wyk
Vay (to use the phonetic spelling of his name), joined MDFM in 2007 and is head of MDFM’s accounts team, responsible for client invoicing, payments and reconciliations. Wy is a keen rugby supporter and enjoys playing squash in his spare time.
